Reading “And yet we must go”
The Municipality of Guspini celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Resistance and Liberation from Nazism with a reading, this time remotely, that attempts to reconstruct through texts and songs a map to reach that history we call Resistance.
"A story that has been told and that still can and must be told; provided we accept the comparison not with monsters or holy pictures or monuments, collector's items or scandalous stories, but with real figures, with the men and women who made it and who told it.a”, they write from Archivio Distratto.
The reading And yet we must go will be broadcast on GuspiniTV, the official YouTube channel of the Municipality of Guspini Saturday 25 April at 19.

"We could not avoid, even this year, the duty to give depth to Memory, to try to transmit it by remembering a fundamental part of our collective history that through the Resistance restored dignity to a country oppressed by the horror of fascism and Nazism, fighting, with the sacrifice of so many human lives, for the freedom we enjoy today. – comments the Councilor for Culture Francesca Tuveri – Speaking of resistance, we cannot give up on the danger that physical distancing will become cultural and "social" distancing, as it has been defined with a perhaps inappropriate expression. It is always our duty to encourage the ability to create thoughts and connections, to maintain attention and engagement through Culture, which is fundamental to the life of every human being and a fertile ground for cultivating solidarity and nurturing connections.
For all these reasons, and always keeping in mind that the absolute imperative must be to leave no one behind, we said to ourselves: "and yet we must go."
Because it may be a suspended time, yes, but it is certainly not a distracted time.”
