The Braille coding system is known and widespread as the traditional method of writing and reading for the blind. Developed by Louis Braille in 1829, the system is based on the use of touch and consists of alphabetic signs formed by groups of dots.

The System's libraries have Braille texts available among their collections, now also in a special section dedicated to children.
