The narrative for young adults It now dominates much of the national and international market, with many of its titles becoming true global phenomena. Not everyone is aware of its history and that its modern classification has its roots in the 60s. Literature young adult (YA) It has developed over time as a sort of transition between "children's" and "adult" fiction and is closely linked to the perception of the latter. It arose from the need to address those types of novels that go beyond the realm of pedagogical or educational stories, aimed at a children's audience, but do not yet fully fall within the realm of "serious" literary production, that is, for adults.
