A reading group is a group of readers who meet to discuss a shared reading and share impressions, emotions, concerns, and opinions.

The goal is to make the reader increasingly a central figure in the library's life, facilitating encounters between people who want to discuss, listen to opinions different from their own, learn about authors and books they would otherwise never have read, enrich their cultural knowledge, and transform reading into a shared pleasure.

Anyone can participate: strong readers, weak readers, new readers, the curious.

Participation is free and open to all.

Applications will be accepted starting December 9, 2021.

Participants will meet once a month, and during each meeting they will discuss the latest book they read.

The selection of books will be made from time to time by voting on participants' proposals (after checking the availability of copies in the system). The library hosting the group will obtain the copies needed for the meetings through interlibrary loan.

Book discussions in a reading group will work best if led by a moderator. It's important to change the moderator for each book discussed.
