Sometimes words aren't enough.
And then you need colors.
And the shapes.
And the notes.
And the emotions.
(Alessandro Baricco)

The Library System Monte Linas organizes, in all municipal library branches, a series of workshops aimed at users aged 14 to 100 dedicated to the Mandala.

Il Mandala It is a graphic image that can take various forms and be composed of various geometric shapes, such as a circle, square, or triangle, with a well-defined center. They are typical of the tradition of Tibetan Buddhist monks, who have been creating them for centuries, using colored sands and other natural elements, with the aim of recalling, containing, and integrating some internal energy.

Carl Gustav Jung He was the first to recognize the therapeutic potential of the mandala, thus introducing it to the Western world's psychological knowledge. Coloring a mandala with its distinctive symbols leads to a mental state of calm, concentration, and relaxation that produces well-being and harmony, lowering stress levels.

The Mandala is also used with the elderly in cognitive and emotional stimulation activities.

To participate in these workshops, you don't need to be a gifted artist or have an artistic streak, because drawing is an innate means of expression that we all possess. All participants will be able to express themselves openly, venturing into the world of colors and myriad shades, discovering manual dexterity and engaging the senses of sight and touch.

Registration is limited, so please contact your local library immediately.
